She is an art historian who spent her professional life in the Municipality of Rome, mainly as Director of the Villas and Historical Park Department, taking care of restorations of gardens and building as well as exhibitions and new museums.
She published numerous books and scientific articles dedicated to historic villas and gardens. She is presently Vice-president of APGI (Association of Italian Parks and Gardens), an operational tool of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Tourism, President of Rome Academy of Fine Arts, Advisory member of the ICOMOS-International Scientific Committee on Cultural Landscape and professor of management of cultural heritage and gardens in Rome Universities. She is still partecipating to national and international conferences.
